BIOLOGY DIVISION


The Biology division detects/examines biological fluids such as blood, semen, saliva, urine, faecal matter and specimens like hair, fibres, wood, tissue, pollen grains etc. which may be present on the clothing of the victims or perpetrators, at the scene of crime and on the weapons/articles used for committing the offence. Furthermore, identification and comparison of diatoms in sternum/femur of the deceased versus control water samples are carried in cases of drowning.
